This was my father's 1976 Raleigh Grand Prix that was his as a teenager. I stripped this ENTIRE bike down to every nut, bolt, and bearing. Scrubbed each one with gun oil and fine steel wool which managed to get the majority of the corrosion damage off to a good condition. I did want to ride this bike so I replaced the original cable housings, cables, tires, and pedals. I kept everything though. It was a delight seeing where everything was made as I wiped away the years of dust and oil build-up gunk. Took it on it's maiden voyage a week ago and did not have a single problem. It now shifts and breaks very smooth. This will be my primary bike for joy riding and triathlons. If anyone has any questions please message.

Nice color. I like that you kept the original equipment on it. I tried using some older Simplex stuff on one of my bikes but those shifters were awful. Ended up using Simplex gears with a Shimano shifter.
