I bought two bikes for ten bucks a couple of years ago, can't remember what the other was, I overhauled and sold it, but I kept this old jewel and set it up as my touring ride. I wondered about the BioPace chain rings, but if I didn't know they were there, I doubt I would notice them just by using them. I've used it with the panniers and custom made front rack, and also towing my single wheel trailer. I spent a few days touring with it last summer, I plan on a week this summer, 350-450 miles, and a few overnighters.
I call it the Hardluck.

Cool. I dug up an old steel rigid Hardrock on Craigslist and made a 1x1 out of it. I've been riding the heck out of it lately. I like it more than I expected.
