This is the bike I hope will get me from Paris to Venice in September!

We'll be unsupported, so the bike will be carrying tent, clothes, kit, etc, as well as me.

I've fitted new road tyres recently and changed the pedals. Panniers are cheapo's from John Street Cycles via Ebay.

Rear rack is a Blackburn MTN and was on the bike when I got it.

Otherwise, it's pretty original and well run-in!

The bike functioned more perfectly than I did, but we all got safely to Venice. I wore out two sets of brake blocks, otherwise the only attention the bike got was a few squirts of lubricant.

The already worn gears were even more
worn by the end but kept working!

The cheapo panniers were almost waterproof, the cheapo tent performed well, too.

Great trip and total equipment cost was under £100.
