Frame is surprisingly well done for a walmart. I like the very heavy duty oversized dropouts. The bike looks great after ditching the heavy stock tires and the gripshifters on the mfgr. handlebar. The bike is STIFF and the last
thing most would use for a touring bike, but the replacement seat and powergrips make up for it well (messenger shoes work great, sneakers are passable). The GMC headbadge gives it away as a walmart special, but the welds are
clean, and it looks alive with the stickers removed. This bike could be a candidate for flat-bar touring if that is your thing. You can use the stock stem, brake levers, and gripshifters on a generic flat bar or mustache bar. The
57cm is the only size available at all in this model.
