Bike Gloves

I need a recommendation on some gloves, I had a pair that I fell off with and it tore the palm apart on one of them, does anyone have good experiences with any particular type?

I was so happy with my Capoforma CSS Gloves after two years of sweat and abuse that I was ready to order another pair. The only reason I was replacing them was cosmetic, as the color was fading. Unfortunately, they don't make those exact gloves, but their Atlas and Modena (names seem to just indicate color) look to be the same glove and construction. I just got my new pair in today, and can update you at the end of the week.

What I really liked about the old ones include:
No velcro (elastic wrist)
Finger pull tabs for easy off
Look good
Super tough
Just the right amount of padding for me (closer to the minimal side, but that's what I like)
Held up extraordinarily well
Good grip in all conditions

Are there any with plastic palm guards that don't effect the grip on the handlebars?
