As it's been mentioned above, different brands have different sizing...
best advice would be to try them on.
I don't order anything online - for that reason, one man's Medium is another man's small
for colder weather - instead of getting thicker, heavier clothes, get more layers.
brands do not matter - though some brands are better than others, but that's also an individual's decision...
what works for some, won't work for all.
find what works for you

Yes!!! I certainly agree with Kneedrachen. I have a pair of their summer riding shorts and the shorts are very comfortable / nice to wear.

Good to hear the positive reviews of Aerotech clothing!

I wrote a review of their top shelf bib shorts here somewhere, once things settle down I'll post the link but it is in this forum.

http://www.panachecyclewear.com/

Panache is an American company also, but I think the product is made in Romania, where Assos outsources some of their stuff. My friend swears by the $160 bibs, a nicer chamois than Rapha, comparable to Assos, nice compression, well made.

Most companies that sell on line include sizing charts for the products they offer. You check a place like REI ar http://rei.com to get sizing for PI, Garneau, and Ibex as well as their own brands.

As I ride a Trike I can't use "regular" cycling clothes, then it's only the online stores to choose from. From earlier experience when you could buy pants without a diaper I found the one size larger is needed for cycling clothes. Now I have bought the jerseys from one firm the windbreaker from a second and the Bib shorts from a club. The long pants is from the diaper free period and they are still good

I've got a lot of gear from them. They are the only place I can get talls, I'm 6'6".
