I love mine, especially since I was able to pick it up 2nd-hand for $15! Having experienced its functionality now, I would not hesitate to pay full price for a new one if I ever needed it.

Farthest trip so far came to 550+mi in each direction. After strapping the rack to the car and bikes to the rack, I did nothing else but check that everything remained tight and in order at fuel stops. The rack and bikes stayed solid as a rock throughout.

Hands-down the best bike rack I've used.

I used a Saris Bones 2 for many, many miles over 3 years. It is a great rack.

The only reason it has been retired is because both our vehicles now have trailer hitches and we use the Saris CycleOn Hitch rack on both.

Saris is an excellent company with a lifetime gurantee on their products and excellent customer service. After a couple years a part broke on the CycleOn rack. Saris replaced it free of charge and had the replacement in my hands within 24 hours of my call.
