Ok so I have torn the crotch out of 2 pair of shorts within the last 10 days riding. One pair was some cargo shorts and the other was some running shorts.

Any recommendation here would be great. I'm not trying to shred every pair of shorts I have. I guess I need some that are more specific to riding; at the same time I'd rather spend the money on upgrades for the bike.

Hmm, EMS......I haven't bought anything from them in years.

I'm from Maine originally, so as you can imagine......yep LL Bean is a weakness for me! I miss going up there to the retail store and just walking around and dreaming.

A cotton cargo short is basically a four panel short. Poor fit for cycling. You need to either get a 6-8 panel cycling short, or at least some cycling-specific cargo shorts. I have some Nike MTB ones that I'm pretty partial to.

I never remember going through shorts like this in the past. The seams in the man region keep coming undone!
