WTB: Bell Helmet Rain Cover

Some years back I bought a Bell Metropolis helmet and now I'm looking for accessories. I've found on-line sources for the visor-mounted mirror, but not the rain cover.

Anyone know of a source for the rain cover? Or another brand that fits?

Thanks!

Welcome, Bellboy! Has your helmet seen a lot of use in the time you've owned it? I ask because I understand that even if you don't crash it, helmets are consdered 'consumable' due to the fact that sunlight slowly breaks the protective materials down.

I understand that as a result, most manufacturers recommend replacing a heavily-used helmet every 2-3 seasons, even if it's never been crashed. I understand sunlight will eventually degrade the helmet to the point that it shatters in a crash, obviously putting you at significantly higher risk of injury.

Sorry, but no clue re: the rain cover. Best of luck!

Thanks, I've since bought a one-size-fits-all (Succi? brand) at REI. It turns out the helmet's snap-on bill can still snap into the fittings on the helmet -- through the cover. That's good, as I can still use the Bell rear-view mirror that fits into the bill. I can also pull up the back enough that the clip-on light fits on the strap in the back and probably helps hold the cover on. It all works!

I'm aware of the warnings about helmet materials deteriorating with age as the same is said about the liners in my motorcycle helmets. In that case, the usual recommendation is replacement in about 5 years. Sorry, but if the helmet is still in pretty good shape otherwise, I'll take my chances. :-)

And yes, a shower cap would work, but, ummm, no thanks. Bike helmets look dorky enough to begin with...
