Here comes the attack!

Campagnolo Electronic Gruppo

I thought part of the allure of cycling was the basic simplicity?! I'm not sure I like the idea of electric assist shifting. Guess I don't adapt to change well. I'd like to be able to ride it just to see and evaluate it instead of read about it.

I think I'm moving backwards as the bike world hurtles forward. LOL! My next shifters I'm buying are friction shifters.

Bar end shifters set in mustache bars. I thought of going with downtube shifters but I'm rarely down on the drops so to reach them would be a pain.

I'm sticking with SR 11. I have ridden DI2 and it is nice. Maybe when I get a little older and the arthritis in my hands is a little worse I will look in to electronic shifting. For now it just isn't something that attracts me, not even the Campagnolo version as sexy as it is!
