Not just for the pros anymore! USADA expands its reach

Are you an amateur cycling competitor? If so, the USADA wants your urine! I wonder how long it'll be before this fine new mission requires the infusion of more taxpayer $$?

Call me cynical, but there's no way they won't try to expand this to the rest of the states. Have fun, racers.

They're doing doping controls in gran fondos, dude. A non-race, so to speak, but people are doping to KOM awards. They nailed some guy from the Gran Fondo NY, guy has something like a $3k a month usage.

We truly are our own worst enemies.

So you're saying the USADA is now pee-testing those who take part in general (non-race) cycling events?! Wow. Next they'll be requiring a pee test for anyone posting a KOM to Strava.

Maybe the real answer is to require testing for any potential cheater who wants to buy a bike in the first place.

It's all clear now. The reason I lose every time trail I enter is because all the guys ahead of me are cheating. If only the gov't would step in a help.

I'm not a big fan of hipsters, but I like the alley-cat run-what-you-brung style races. I don't give a hoot about major league baseball either, but I think it's healthy for people to just shirt up and play some ball on the neighborhood fields. USADA should be shouted down every day for what they did to Lance (antagonized a retired pro and tried to scapegoat him).
