Tinker Jaurez was racing when I picked up my first MTB magazine over 20 years ago, and is still doing it today. I can't imagine Rebecca Rusch in a skirt. A few of her accomplishments last year included her 3rd 24 hour solo XC world championship, and taking the women's first place spot at the Leadville 100. The men's class was won by some guy named Lance.

Hack, this is a 24 hour cross country bike race? Like with cyclocross bikes? I didn't think LA did that kind of thing.

Leadville is a high altitude 100 mile XC race. It's been very popular with roadies as well.

That's a respectable race. Lots of good road racers. How come no recumbents win? They like the long distances. That's what I hear anyway.

It's a mountain bike, off road type race. No off road recumbents yet
(or I haven't seen any yet).

Hack, what's a pom? I like the sound of lotek's seppo better. Which makes me ask: What the hell's a seppo?

I'm not offended if these are insults. If they are good, I'll start using them, too.
