Yes, this is an issue. Not as big as American obesity, however. I've been to your land of the fast bastard. Ohio being ground zero. I could not tell the cattle from the cashiers at every fast food joint my team stopped at a few years ago.

From what I've had it's very similar to American soul food. Lot's of organ meat prepared in a variety of ways. Honestly what I've tried was good. I think you guys get a bad rap. Probably because of what it does to your teeth but maybe not (one of my arguments against socialized medicine although I am for it.). Also from what I've seen British women are hot.
My only real complaint against the Brits is what's the deal with the Queen? You guys still pay to support a head of state that doesn't do anything but act as ambassador for your entire country. What does the royal family really do?

Royal Family is the leading welfare recipient gang on the planet. No argument here.

As to what do they do? Nothing useful I can tell.

P.S. As for shagging. Would you shag the Queen? Not me, not for King or Country.

I can honestly say brit food isn't that bad (having spent 3 weeks there one day),
no seriously food was good, had cockles, steak & kidney pie, yorkshire pudding (and roast),
what's not to like ? okay Bangers were a bit bland but edible, and blood pudding was uhm, different.
that said we (Yanks, seppos, whatever) don't have much room to talk, I mean
really supersize that.

marty

p.s. but I've never heard anyone say "Hey lets go out for some British Food", closest would
be "hey lets go out for a pint (or 3)"
