Late '80s Schwinn Super Sport

I just bought this awesome Schwinn. I love it, but it's got a little cleaning up to do. I cant wait to continue working on it!
The only thing is, I can't pin-point what year it was in. Any ideas? After some research I thought it was '87, but somebody who claims to "know a lot about old Schwinn's" said differently. Thanks!

Cool looking bike! As I've said before, I love Old School!

Seems like the rolling resistance would be pretty significant, no?

Ok cool. Thanks!
I'm not saying I don't believe you, but is there anywhere I can find more information about it?
Also, what's the difference between the ST and the SP model?

Oh, well ok, I found the Traveler! Haha. So... Why does it say it's a Super Sport? Sorry, I'm new to a lot of this.

Hello
I stood on my head while looking at your picture. My bike and yours look the same.

Haha. How do you like it?
I'm debating on painting it... But do you think that'd be a bad idea? I love the fact that it is mostly original, but I kind of wanted to "make it my own." I kinda wanted another owners opinion.
