Hello
Don't repaint it. I am surprised that Schwinn would offer the same color scheme on different models. If you look under the bottom bracket there are some stamped numbers they might help you determine year of your bike.

The paint it has looks pretty good to me. In your place, I would customize in other ways - think tires and bar tape color-matched to the red in the frame. Saddle might be swapped to match the red, or with another color. That bike will totally 'pop' with the right accessories, and still be all your own. My $0.02, for what it's worth.

Please keep us updated, however you decide! Only you can know what's right for you

Thanks! I might just do that. The worst part is some previous owner took an exacting knife to the paint on one part. But I was thinking i would just repaint that part and all the rust spots with the existing colors. I'm part Canadian, so I was thinking if I keep the color scheme I could add some canada stuff too. I dunno if I'd change the seat though, just cause it's original. I'm not sure, but I'll definitely keep you posted! I'm going to get parts for it today

I've been doing some work toy bike. I like how it's turning out!

The second photo shows what it looked like the first day vs now

Looks good, my first road bike was a Schwinn World with friction shifters. and I loved it, kinda regret selling it.. but It was a tad too small for me

Nice job, Rink! I didn't think I'd like the looks of different-colored tires, but it worked well in this case.

Bravo!

Thanks! I've been having a lot of fun doing the work on it, and I've learned a lot (this is the first bike I've done work to) and now I've been riding pretty regularly. It's still has some work I want to do to it, but I love how it rides
