Mohawk?

Just got a freebie | What Iam looking for is more info on a Mohawk road bike made by J.P.Snyder out of New York. Iam guessing maybe 70s vintage steel frame . Trying to find info on how many speeds and ratio if possible and any other info
Paul

Well, you have most of the info about the bike. They were basic mass produced USA all steel bikes. The few that I have seen (and I gather that you are refering to a 10 speed road bike) had a standard 40/52 double steel front chainwheels and a standard 14-28 Shimano 5- speed freewheel. I believe that the bike was manufactured from about the 50's until the late 70's, but I stand to be corrected on that, since I do not know their earlier history.

I've only seen a few 3 speeds, and they were not too exciting. But many of these companies put more into their 10 speeds .
