We have bikelanes everywhere.
We have nice small roads, part of a signposted cycle node network.

NETHERLANDS CYCLE ROUTE PLANNER
Or you can go for the signposted long distance cycle routes LF1 (along the Northsea, LF2 (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp-Brussels), LF3, ...
In every city you can rent bicycles for several days. Some shops do also rent helmets, panniers, electric bicycles, ...
Most of the Netherlands and Flanders (Belgium) is flat.
We have dozens of canals, rivers and old railway tracks where you can cycle without worrying about motorized traffic.

And if money is the problem ;-) cyclists can spend the night and get a decent breakfast with the hosts of 'Vrienden op de Fiets', paying a little 19 euro pp.

So my question remains. What can we do more???
Do you think it might have something to do with time and money and not the lack of desire?

The rate of the Euro is neither a helping factor for the moment.

But this inside tip will persuade all doubters ;-)
Renting a bicycle in Ghent (Belgium) for 25 euro a ....... month!
