Volunteers & Participants needed: New Belgium Brewing’s Tour de Fat Celebrates Its Tenth Anniversary by Adding San Diego to the Tour!

Saturday, October 3rd, in Balboa Park. 9AM to 4PM

Tour de Fat, New Belgium Brewing’s traveling celebration of all things bicycle, celebrates a decade of honoring mankind’s greatest invention - the bike - and is ready to hit double-digits in style. Born in Ft. Collins, Colorado to increase awareness and participation in cycling as a sustainable form of transportation, Tour de Fat has grown into a national rite of passage for cycling advocates and bon vivants alike. The festival will be in San Diego October 3rd. They've chosen SDMBA (the San Diego Mountain Biking Association) and SDCBC (San Diego County Bicycle Coalition) -and the City to benefit from this huge event!

“This year is a big year for us as Tour de Fat celebrates a decade’s worth of passionate bike advocacy. It’s going to be a ballyhoo and a half.” Don’t miss it!

DID YOU REALLY NEED ANY EXCUSES TO DRESS UP IN COSTUME & RIDE ABOUT THE CITY??!
Each show opens with a costumed bike parade through the host city (San Diego, in this case), Tour de Fat celebrates the power of the bike by encouraging everyone to embrace their inner-cyclist and ride the streets as a rolling carnival of creativity. Volunteer to assist with the parade and get a front row view. Contact SOCIAL@SDMBA.COM

Team Volunteer Opportunities

Get your shop's crew or company members to be a “Ride Marshall/Registration/Merch table” team. Great fun and a effective fundraiser-costumes are GREATLY ENCOURAGED. Car-For-Bike Swap
