More from my Christmas morning ride. Left maybe 8am under cloudy skies with very light snow. 1*f when I set out. The foot prints on the right are mine; the intersecting trail belongs to a critter.

Animal trail. Human footprints adorned the trail here and there, but I broke the first non-critter trail through most of my ride.

I so love seeing unbroken snow on the trail ahead. It gets challenging when it's deeper, but 2-3" is fun.

Note the studs poking through the snow. They don't do anything in powder, but they're worth their weight in gold when I unknowingly cycle onto an icy section under the snow.

I was mostly warm, except for my feet. I came in before frostbite became a concern. I like the ice around my eyelashes. Note the O-tus mini speaker on my helmet. I love them.

Thanks to Mrs. Newleaf for being such a trooper...and putting up with her crazy husband

She was just getting dressed after a shower when I got home and yelled in the door to ask if she'd take some action pics of me. She took this in 8*f with a big jacket...and a wet head.
