Not pics from my ride, but a couple of pics I found on the net - folks riding in snow...both look like loads of fun!

The peace and quiet of fresh new snow in the woods on an MTB does sound good! At least once anyway

Taken during yesterday's ride. Cycling in deep dusk has its challenges, but the sunsets sure are nice. Hard to get on camera, too. Appears brighter than it was, though it wasn't yet dark - I actually stopped to turn my lights on in a good shutterbug spot.

A red tail hawk on the wing, taken today. He flew low overhead and landed in a nearby tree. I stopped and pulled the camera out of my bar bag right about the time she took off again. This was the best of quite a few shots, taken at greater range. I'd sure love to get some reasonable close-ups. They are really beautiful birds. It's always a treat for me to get to see one. Rare to get an even semi-worthwhile pic, though.

Amazingly warm January day in CO. Mid-50s temps, very little wind until the end of the ride.

Platte River near downtown Denver, CO.

Denver Aquarium building on the left - highly recommended in its own right. Downtown Denver is out of the frame to the right. Plenty of crossing points.

Cyclists on the MUP. Mountains barely visible in the distance, beginnings of Downtown on the left. The light and clouds were really interesting today.

Looking across the Platte River at a triburary. Note the rust-colored bridge - the MUP on the other side runs on either side of the tributary - bicycles and roller-bladers get the right-hand trail, pedestrians the left.

Wow, down in South Carolina we think riding in 45 degrees is very cold. Then I see what you and lots of other people ride in on here

Different conditions, different challenges. I'm hoping to become a sub-zero (*f) cyclist before this winter is out. Remains to be seen whether the weather and timing will enable me.

Some of the stuff you've talked about doing, on the other hand, would totally destroy me. It's great how many different ways bicycles can be used to make one's life better and more happily challenging. Cycling rules!
