Recent Wildlife Sighting On Sarasota Trail
When this hawk on 9-14-11 spotted a snake in freshly cut grass, it swooped down from a nearby tree and landed about 20-25 feet from me. Pretty cool.

A couple of years back I was riding in the woods on my mtn. bike, came around a bend, and there was an owl in the middle of the trail with a rabbit in its clutches. When the owl took off you could hear the air move. I would guess his wingspan was 6'.
