The Upper Tampa Bay Trail is located in the residential northwest section of Hillsborough County. The current 7.25 miles make up the first three phases of a four-phase project. There are five trailheads here. Memorial, Channel Park, Wilsky Boulevard, Peterson Park, and Ehrlich Conservation Office, Eventually, the Upper Tampa Bay Trail will extend seven to eight more miles connecting to the 41-mile Suncoast Trail. This trail far exceeded my expectations, and was well worth my drive from Sarasota on 9-8-11.
