I complain a lot about the heat and humidity here but I do like it here. I can be to the mountains to ski in the winter in a little over 3 hours, I can be in DC in less than 2 1/2 hours, Baltimore in 3 1/2 hrs, NYC in under 8 hours, I can be at the beach, as in VA Beach in 1.5 hours depending on the tourists and traffic, and the OBX in three hours! What more could you ask for?

Oh I and I can get a boat in the water in less than 10 minutes from home

I think it is a great idea, one on one with the Lord, meditation, reflection, prayer, giving thanks for his blessings in your life and on the ride.

How is the traffic for riding? Sounds like you've got everything a guy could need there.

The worst is on RT198 out by Thousand Trails - Getaways on Sunday mornings in the summer. The huge diesel pusher RV's pulling cars and boats don't leave much room on a narrow 2 lane road. Most of RT17 that I ride on (the shoulder) is wide enough to ride 2 abreast if you were so inclined. Most of what I ride is fairly rural and low traffic.

The biggest problem I ever have while riding is the occasional dump truck that just doesn't seem to want to give up an inch of the road, I would hate to move and give up the riding I have here.

I had to work in Virgina Beach last summer and if I had to ride down there....well I just wouldn't, I don't even care much for driving there especially in the summer months.

Reviving an old good thread. Had a nice ride this morning with a few interesting results but the final part of the sermon that brought me home was (and I HAVE to mention I ABSOLUTELY HATE VEVO !!)

The mighty mighty Nonpoint! I've seen them live about 5 times now. Awesome hymns!

I like my services to last about an hour (10 miles).
