OK, Good. Remember you can't run on an empty stomach.

How about a little workout Monday morning? If you need a routine I'll send you one.

Have a happy

Burr, you are and inspiration!

Cycles, My sister in law is a personal trainer and health chef. I have picked up some tips from her. Maybe they will help you. I have lost 76 lb and maintained that for five months so far. Its a big learning curve for me. Never worked out, had not a clue about eating right. Just be sure you dont BONK from low blood sugar. I almost did, twice before I realized that I was not eating enough to get me through the ride. Sounds like what you are eating is right, keep track of calories and be sure to get enough though. I burn 900 calories on my 20 mile daily rides which average about 90 minutes on my Crosstrail. I put something with electrolite in my drinks, and eat a 100 cal jel packs along the way. I also carry energy bars and sometimes a bananna in case I feel light headed now. Normally one gel pack per hour. I also now eat something five times a day rather than three. Seems to help the metabalisim, my hunger, and my blood sugar levels. I dont do the gym thing. I do work out every am old school style for at least 30 -60 minutes with push ups, sit ups, bands, pull ups, and yoga. I try to ride every day which ends up six days mostly, jog, twice a week for 30 minutes. Thats been on hold since a client fell on me and tweeked my ankle pretty hard. I also do P 90X twice a week. I LOVE to eat. Portion control is my challange and my weekness. I started at 224 the third week of February 09. This morning I am 148. My maintance level is 150, I let that swing 3 lbs either way and call it normal. Over that and its back to 1200 cal per day, under ... its not been a problem yet! My goal was 2 lb per week loss. Sometimes it was less, sometimes more. Oh and I also had to learn to cook lean. My wife is a awesome cook, but she never saw a calorie she could not add to something to make it taste better. She is on the program now though. She has lost 105 pounds and just purchased a new Trek Madone yesterday.

Good luck, hang tough, enjoy the rides!

Skid you're doing great and your wife, man that's great. If I can only do half as good.

Those are the habits I know to follow but I have just been over eating to much, that's that.

For openers I have been losing a pound a day but I think that will slow down in the next few weeks.

I'll just keep doing what I started last week and STOP EATING SO MUCH!

Wow Burr a pound a day! I know you eat right, and can see you work out a ton. Thats awesome. DONT BONK! I came close twice and it just sucked.

I had to work today but got up at 4:30 and did strength & yoga till 5:30. Hated not riding on such a pretty afternoon but no time after clean up so I did the cardio part of P90x. I am off tomorrow though and plan to ride 30+ miles. I am finding the bike is a great de-stressor.

Didn't get to the gym or cycle after Monday. Spent the week working on Orchids & Roses.

Weather has been in the mid 90's all week, got a "very" light rain yesterday, the first rain of the years.

Still have a little more to do but I'll be back in the gym/bike Monday for the week. Just had to put the flowers first this week.

Got a three foot straw hat and I'm telling the locals "My Name is Jose Mayonnaise" (I drive the locals crazy with my BS)
