Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa/Festivus/Chrismakah/Birthday Bikes

Anyone ever get a bike for one of "the" big holidays?

Year? Age? Make? Model? Color? Anything particular to note with stories, experiences etc? What happened to that bike?

I bought myself the a Specialized Roubaix after coming home from Afghanistan last summer She's a lovely black and white with smooth, sexy curves and responds to my every command.

I'm getting a trainer this year for Christmas!

I couldn't begin to count. And today, I helped someone raise cash for holiday shopping by buying their four month old Trek Wahoo 29er. Yes, I already have one. Now my brother in law will have one too.

Christmas, 1991 Diamondback Curaca, Suntour tumbies and an Avenir saddle. Rode that thing until I "grew up" and ended up on a bored out Garelli moped, then a motorcycle and eventually a car.

My parents split and I don't know what happened to that bike. . .

Years later I have regressed and ditched the car and ride a bike.

Such is life. Cycles.
