Hello all. My name is Will, and I have joined your forum because I have a class project. The project is to write a survey, and get 100 samples, then write a paper based on the survey results. Being a cyclist myself, I decided to make my survey cycling related, specifically collecting info on people who use their bicycles as transport.

So if you would be so kind as to oblige me and fill it out, the survey is very short, and my grade is depending upon it. Thank you

I am assuming here that by "transport" you mean that the bicycle is used to get the person to a destination and back, rather than just riding the bicycle for fun, exercise, etc.

I turned 50 this past August

Currently, Once a week. I ride more often, but as "transport", once a week. I used to commute to my old job; I am working towards commuting to work and back again at my new location (18 miles one way vs. 6 miles one way).

4) How far do you generally ride your bike?

- Less than one mile
- One to three miles
- Four to six miles
- Seven or more miles

More than seven miles - probably a minimum of 20.

5) What is your primary reason for riding a bike as transportation?

- Economy
- Environment
- Exercise
- No car
- Other:

All of the first three, plus it is just enjoyable.
