A ricochet from a .50 does not seem possible, unless you're doing something incredibly stupid.

Anything moving at almost 3,000 feet per second is pretty unlikely to change its direction of travel by 180 degrees.

Check out the article about a Mythbusters episde where they tried/tested ricochets. MythBusters Results — Outcomes from all MythBusters Episodes If nothing else it's something to pass some time.

Unless met by an oppositional force that can redirect it's trajectory. I've had plenty of ricochets. It would stand to reason it's a possibility.
