62.5 miles, 19.4 mph avg with 2064 ft of elevation change. Rode with 2 very strong riders that absolutely crushed me on the hills today. Felt pretty windy and overcast with rain moving that made it feel even cooler. I feel pretty good about this ride but didn't spend much time up front pulling...pretty disappointed with that. I know the elevation doesn't sound like much but it's WAY more than my average ride.

It was kinda different since I almost never do out and back rides. The scenery was awesome on this ride today!

my 12 year old daughter has been training about 3 weeks for her first 5k. she was happy with her time (34:20). afterwards, she and my other daughter were going to drive home, i brought my bike so i could ride home. it's only about 7 miles but i've been out of the saddle with an injury for a long time, so i figured this would be a nice ride.
the weather was great, sunny, cool, a little breezy.
i get home, my daughter tells me she won her age division. plus, i had a nice ride and took a detour to ride a hill or 2.

My highlight was being able to get on the bike today after having my meniscus scoped last Friday. 14.3 miles and the knee feels dam good even 10 hours later.

Things have been rough lately, and I REALLY needed to ride. Despite the suffering, I returned back to my house with my wife freaking out, my daughter banging pots and pans and the two dogs ripping up a stuffed animal. Me? Completely relaxed. Even got on post today with a smile.

I think I'll start a new thread called "Cycletherapy."

Wait....I think I messed up there.

Yesterdays ride was 21 miles of I just could not get in the grove and felt like $hit when I got home. I guess you could say it was a good ride in that I did not have to call for help, if that is a highlight

Hi all, here is my blog entry for the New Amsterdam Bike Show, which was the highlight of the ride for me yesterday. (I stopped at the show between Bensonhurst and Astoria)

Footage includes a mini-tour of almost the entire floor, some interactions and discussions with a few booths, and some interview footage taken outside the event, as I'm leaving.

I will be blogging 2 days from Bike Expo New York, Thursday and Friday of this week, and riding in the 5bbt Sunday.

I am still waiting for the delivery of my skeleton case for my GoPro Hero 2. But I should have it in time to use my new mic for this weeks events.

Thanks!

First hour of my 50 miler today I averaged 19.5 mph. (Inching closer to the elusive 20 mph avg) Then hit the hilly section of this route and ended with an average of 17.5 mph. Didnt end as strong as I would have liked but cant have (it) all the time. Still a good day to ride.

Hey twospoke, it's been a while

Had a ride the other day, and managed to bunnyhop up a wall about half a dozen times that I've only made up twice before. Been trying it for years..

edit: about 44" one of my highest ever
