No kidding. My past two rides this week have been in the ~17 range and was way easier on the body than pushing to go as fast as I can.

It wasn't exactly a highlight, far from it, but I ran over two, yes two ground squirrels on the ride this morning. Separate instances. The first I saw it come running across the road I though they were like regular squirrels. You couldn't run over one of those if you tried. I didn't swerve out of the way because I figured at te last moment it would dart off in a different direction. Well, this one must have been suicidal. It couldn't have made more of a bee line to my front tire if it tried. Bump, bump. I was @%#$ I ran over it!?
The second one came out from the weeds on the right side of the road and I hit it before I could check over my shoulder to see if it was safe to swerve. I really hate it. I don't like taking out mother natures creatures.

I was thinking Alvin and Simon! 
My highlight was just being out with a friend for 42 miles today. Lowlight was I got rearended by a car while SITTING at a 4-way stop!!!  
No damage to me or the bike but I think he shattered his foglamp!

Glad you and the bike are ok! Funny I've never been hit but did the hitting once a local kinda bus was at a light that turned green I took off and he didn't...that hurt, mostly my pride but it was funny

That is a funny story Roland!
Poolie, the guy didn't stop apologizing and taking blame. Almost felt bad for him once I knew everything was ok. He actually made his wife take over the driving duties.
