I don't own any and I never ridden one, but the 29er mania is making all kinds of great deals fall in my lap!
A few years ago I picked up an almost new On One Inbred for $400. That was for a well specd complete bike--Thomson, King, no crap! Today I got a beautiful black powder coated Santa Cruz Blur LT with a Fox RP-23 shock and Fox 140R for for $600. Sahhhhhwwweeeeeeet!
If you wanna part with one of those sweet bikes let me know I would be more than happy to buy one from you! 29ers are good for some things but i 26ers are gonna stay forever.
I looked real hard at the 29er's when I was looking for my bike. I had read some stories and it got me worried about the rims bending with my heavy weight on them so I opted for the shorter lever of the 26" rim. Happy with what I got and no looking back. But I did look dead sexy on a 29er. The larger wheels made it look like I belonged on the bike. The 26" looks a bit small for my big fat frame.
