I don't care what he says either. He owes me a promotion as it is. Unfortunately, we do not have a vacancy in the "cuttle" department at this time. I'll apply again later.

I did more intervals tonight. Only 15 minutes worth. I was doing two minutes on, one off and pushing it for all I could. During the second interval I was holding around 105 rpm but looking at my legs again, I said to myself it looks like I can raise the seat a bit higher. So at the end of that interval I paused everything and got off and raised the seat probably another good centimeter or so. I get back on and start everything again and finish out my recovery interval. I start the next max effort interval and HOLY COW!!! Im holding 110 rpm. I do that for two minutes. Recover interval of one minute and back to another max interval. I said to myself, lets see whats the highest rpm I can hold. So I give it all I have to give. I held 113 rpm for the whole duration of that interval and has short holds of 115 rpm.

Quite frankly I still think I can raise the seat even a bit more. However, after 15 minutes of those intervals Im toast. The wife turned up the heater and Im absolutely roasting. I was originally shooting for 20 minutes but that heater blasting on me kinda did me in. That and I didnt get a bottle of water before I started.

This is fun. Im kinda curious, once I get the seat all adjusted and set where it will stay, how many intervals of 110+ rpm I can do.

Thank you for that bikertank. Using that article as a guide I was only off by about half a centimeter, so I went ahead and adjusted up just a tad more. I will be on the trainer again tonight as part of my cardio workout for the night so we will see how it goes. My shorter stem should be here today as well so Im not reaching so much for the handle bars

If I read your seat height change chronology correctly you're up about 5cm over a short period of time. That's a huge change. Who did the original fit? Sounds like it was way off. Watch for knee pain issues.

I did unfortunately. Chalk it up to lesson learned. It was my knees bothering me a little after my Route 66 ride last week that convinced me I was off somewhere.
