Looking for a folder

I've been biking for a while now and I just got an over the road job which is really going to cut into my riding time unless I can bring one along. Space is at a premium, so I'm considering a folder. I know very little about them so I'm wondering what it out there that is of pretty decent quality and not too pricey?

If you're on a tight budget, consider Downtube. If you have more money, I'd look at Dahon.

I like this one (for a budget model):
Origin8 F7

For good high-quality folders, Brompton has a couple of sexy Titanium ones.

Thanks for the advice, everybody. I'll get up to my LGS and get some prices.

Is Dahon just licensing out their design to anyone with a line of credit?

Apparently so. Which is fine with me. I signed up as a Dahon dealer a year ago and have never heard another word from them. No dealer #, no catalogues, no price list, no nothing. When I called the guy I'd talked to though, he assured me I was indeed a dealer.

I don't give a company very many chances.

I got a Schwinn Loop just for fun a few months ago, got it for a cheap price on Amazon. It's a bit heavy, and the brakes and derailleur needed minor adjustments, but all in all not too bad for the (under $200) price.

Been out on the road and haven't had too much time, but I picked up my new Dahon Speed 7 over the weeknd. This is a really high quality little bike and surprisingly fast. The short wheelbase and small tires take a little getting used to but it has enough gears to take on some fairly steep hills. I give it a thumbs up.
