Broke out the "Big Boy" commute today, 43 round trip. Beautiful morning. Cloudy but warm. No fall clothing today. I'm glad it stayed dry. Tomorrow is suppose to be wet. So I'll watch the Tour, rest the legs and plan for a 60+ on Sunday. If its dry tomorrow afternoon I might go for a short spin just to gain the 20 points.

Way to go Dos on the miles today in that hot and humid weather.

Got 15 in yesterday so I could make platinum level. Also, it looks like I will end June as the number 1 rider in my community. Put a lot of miles on that Trek since I bought it. Now today I am going to take the day off and give them quads a bit of a rest. Go TS and TS 2!

Finally got to ride the Savanna to Moline (IL Route 84) bike trail today. Started out at 6:00 AM with great riding weather. Got to the 17 mile mark and it started raining. Got back to the van, and it was sunshine. Good enough for a 23.3 mile ride. Now that I know the trail, I'll ride it again for more miles and on a nicer day.

Bam got my first 20 mile ride in this morning. Avg speed of 15 mph and cadence of 89 rpm.

Right when I got in and turned on the Tour the rain started coming down in buckets. Looks like someone didn't want me to miss work today ;-)

I was going to go back and do the trail again but weatherman said 30% chance of rain in the morning. Skipped the 20 mile drive to get to the trail and not one drop of rain. Riding up here isn't going as planned.

Miles logged after the last day of the month in which they are ridden don't count. My power was out from Friday night until this afternoon. I was unable to log the 53 miles I rode yesterday in time for them to count.

I haven't slept well the last two nights without my electric fans. I guess the $40 I spent at REI today for a solar powered cell phone charger was wasted. I should try to return it, but maybe I'll keep it for next time...

Nice to have the power back!
