I really wanna go for a Cannondale cos I’ve heard they’re awesome but to buy one I need to stretch my budget by quite a few grand. I really think they’re worth it but I’m not sure whether I should spend that extra amount or not. What should I do??

Some people swear by Cannondale... some people swear AT them. I'm kind of in the middle, I have no reason to buy one, there are plenty of other models that are equal or better.

If you HAVE to spend more, YOU have to decide if it's worth it; I personally wouldn't.

I don't automatically point people to Trek or Specialized, either. Big corporations, seem to be cookie-cutter bikes to me.

Giant, Jamis come to mind first; good quality without sticker shock. There are NUMEROUS smaller builders out there that have a sterling reputation.

For MY money, C-dale doesn't have a thing over the first two I mentioned, certainly nothing worth the extra $$.
