I put yes but my boot was a dollar bill. it made a 35 mile ride with no problems because my tire was rubbing while I was transporting it to a large cycling event. got there later in the evening, the night before, and found that no local store carried my tire size so I had to put the dollar in to even be able to start the ride. no problems though

I had a nice post all typed out last night and a storm wiped out my internet before I could post it. I used a boot one time, it was 11 years ago and I was doing the DC to Pittsburgh trail solo, self supported. I got within 40 miles of Pittsburgh and cut my tire on a sharp rock. Booted it with a five dollar bill and some duck tape that I had wrapped around one of my water bottles. I carry a big square piece of a Capri Sun juice drink package now to use for a boot but haven't needed it.

No dollar bill... just a Franklin

I've been carrying them for 3 yrs. never need to use them or my tire tube patches. hope I don't jinx myself , haven't had any flats.

maybe you should add to the vote list: those who have them but never use um
