I so hate

Day shift! It leaves no time for my regularly scheduled programming. 2 more weeks of this. I can't wait to get back to my normal shift. This cuts into my ride time, work out schedule and has screwed up my eating schedule!

That is all. please carry on!

What are your normal hours? I recently changed jobs and the new gig allows me to work from home 3 days per week. It's great for my eating and riding, now only if this weather would cooperate!

+100. As did I.

synack,

I once had a contract job where I worked from home full time and did everything by VPN into the company system. It was great but when working from home, you don't have anything to look forward to. In the office, you look forward to quitting time so you can go home but working from home, when quitting time comes around, you're already there. Actually, I loved it.

Best shift in the world is a 24/48 fire department shift. It's like being at home on your work days but without the hassles. Then you get two whole days off to do whatever you want while the wife is at work and the kids are in school. Worked that shift for 25 years and loved it. Only bad part was that you do work on holidays and family events if your shift falls on those days. But you get used to it and find workarounds.

Which i was I had a great set of mutuals. Unmarried and without kids, I worked every single Thanksgiving, New Years, Easter and 4th of July, the mutuals I got in exchange were Christmas Eve and Christmas; never, ever worked either.

We worked a funky schedule, 2 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off. It basically worked out that you had one day you never, ever worked, for me it was Friday, so every other weekend was a 3 day weekend.
