The Las Vegas 1/2 Marathon report.

I did it!
2:02:18
SMOKIN'!!!

My room mate ran as Elvis. He was interviewed by a local tv station and it was aired twice.
My niece was THE YOUNGEST RUNNER IN THE RACE of 27,500 runners, and was also interviewed and it aired also. 4th in her age group with 6 potty stops.

No pics as I refused to carry a camera for 13 miles!

The weather blew!
The race started at 6:00 am, in the dark.??? I think so they could open the strip earlier.
It was 35 degrees with a wind chill to 30*
Damm cold for a distance race.
I crossed the finish line all sweaty and froze instantly!

Fun, Fun though...

Congrats, where did you place in your age group? Was it top 50%?

You have to go up in order to come down. Why is the up part always so steep?

Yes, I made the top 50%...COOL
I know my place in both overall and age group:

Stats I could find:

TOTAL RUNNERS: 17,890
TOTAL MALE RUNNERS: 6,524
TOTAL 50-54 MEN: 815

ME:
OVERALL: 3,960
MEN: 2,446
AGE GROUP MEN: 179

A couple of pro thumbnails. I'm not sure i will buy them as they are $80 for 5 photos...(sorry for the watermarks...)

A friend of mine ran in that. I don't know how she did, but she was pretty stoked to even do it.

Awesome, I even called it in your crunch time thread, I hoped you would make top 25% and you did it. My arithmetic on your numbers say Top 22% in overall, top 32% in men, and in age you are top 21%.

Congrats, definitely something to be proud of.

Go ahead stand up and raise the arms in victory again. You earned it. (sounds of cheering crowd as you raise arms in victory)
