Apparently they gave this guy the win, though one of the comments below the story says that wouldn't have been the case if they were adhering to USAC rules.

What a great piece of video!

Unfortunately, where I race, the rules clearly state a rider must finish with his bike. He can be carrying it, but he cannot precede it or follow after it. That chap followed his. What a bad piece of luck.
