The 508

So, as of about 6 PM last night, a buddy of mine and I are seriously considering doing this as a 2 person team. Anyone done it or know anyone that has? I guess there's my winter motivation.

Registration is not until March, and the field is limited to 240 racers, so it's not guaranteed yet. But at this point I'm somewhat excited. Sick, huh.

That would suck as a car trip, never mind bicycles. Better read "The Time Crunched Cyclist" before you start training.

Just spoke with my teammate some more. We're definitely going to apply in March. If we don't make the cut, the backup plan is to ride as individuals in the Everest Challenge or Death Valley 200.

Dude, you are so out of our league! I don't doubt for a second that you can do it.

And here I thought the Tour of Georgia Gran Fondo was going to be a challenge. That race just scares me.

Shouldn't be absolutely horrible with two people splitting the distance. But we are already talking about doing it solo in 2014.
