Chain track problem.

Hello,

This picture is detailing odd chain behavior.

I cannot find the source of my problem. The chain is not staying on the front sprocket and is falling off while I am biking. I have recently purchased a new back derailleur (so it is not an issue of tension action). Is there a way to calibrate the lateral movement of a back derailleur?

Is this typical of bike chains to have such large gaps between the teeth and chain? Do I have the wrong sprocket (Origin alloy 52 teeth)?

Thanks for the help.

Change it, looks to be worn/stretched.

I changed mine this past summer and the same amount of links when laid next to a new one, the old chain was half a link longer..

+1. At least check the chain length.
Here's Sheldon Brown's article: Chain Maintenance

You probably need new cogs too and possibly a new chainring.
