Received the bracelet yesterday, thanks Rola!

I went out for a ride today (in the light rain) determined to take the Strava KOM with the bracelet (on one of my favorite hills for repeats). It doesn't get any better than this. Rainy hill repeats!

The descents were a little sketchy in the rain, but nothing to worry about as long as you ride the brakes. The hill is relatively short but fairly steep and somewhat curvy in sections.

I've posted the pic before but here it is again (old pic, not from today):

Here's the link to the ride and the KOM (I did it)! http://app.strava.com/activities/40181677

We decided after I did the initial KOM that we would do double climbs and pace ourselves to prepare for some of the bigger climbs we will do in the spring. Up, back down, and back up before resting by doing a ~1 mile loop.

I am going to ride at least one more time before sending the bracelet on. That will probably be tomorrow, nothing crazy though.

I also wanted to add that it was nice reading the entries in the notebook. It almost made me reconsider jumping on this so fast because there wasn't enough to read yet! I still need to add my written piece.

I would also like to propose sending the notebook and bracelet to the Wounded Warrior Foundation when this is all done. A milage count would be a nice touch too, but not absolutely necessary. What do you guys think? Do you think they would have a purpose for it?

Bikertank, it looks like you're up next. I am going to pm you to get an addy.

I am going to do another ride or two this week and get it out to you before the weekend.

I like Synack's idea. We should also provide a link to the forum, where lots of pics taken on our rides might be posted

in a sense, it will be a "coming home" in more ways than one.
