Thanks for adding a woman's perspective Smiley!! I don't think you are alone with that opinion either. Sometimes I catch women looking or should I say gawking. The thing about massage is of course the main reason why pros shave but one that I forgot to mention.
For guys who haven't done it before it takes some practice and your skin and hair need to get trained for it. Use a high quality razor, not a disposable el cheapo. Get yourself hot and softened up in a hot shower or bath. Get rid of the bulk by shaving with the grain. Lather up again and shave against the grain. Avoid strong chemicals and lotions afterward as this may cause irritation. Don't use muscle linament with menthol or camphor for several hours after shaving. Before your skin gets used to it you might get red dots but this gets better with time. Once you are in the routine you only need to shave against the grain and it only takes a few minutes. I don't use shaving cream or gel. There is a product here in Sweden but is probably available there as well, Nivea shower oil. It works great to lubricate the razor and doesn't dry out your skin.
Happy riding!

Oh well, I guess there is some territory that will just have to remain unexplored for you (unless you make some major life changes) Now if you had just gone ahead without asking maybe they'd have liked it!

I have no problem with the concept only with the execution.

Well let me say, I'd rather explore hairless legs than hairy legs...

Once again an excellent reason to shave your legs.

Am I getting this right, you mean to tell me you will shave your entire legs just in case you might have to wear a bandage? I can see if your playing football or something and have to shave your ankles (and just your ankles) so they can be taped, but that's about it. I never thought I'd be wearing a bib and jersey. The day I think of shaving my legs, I hope someone has me admitted. The fact that some cyclists don't use a rear light on their bike just to save an ounce or two is proof to me that they're nuts. I doubt that most people I see on the road compete, so what's the point of all this performance.

Did I mention sexy too??
Am I in way over my head here, or what? This is actually getting creepy.
