I did it once to see if there was a difference. I wasn't for it. I cut the hell out of myself and my gf at the time couldn't stop laughing at me and saying see it's not that easy!

If by virtue of the fact that I cycle my machine to propell myself forward, I can be called a cyclist, then yes, I guess I'm a cyclist! Of course, I could never compare myself to many of the "greats" in this forum (including you Smiley). I have a lot to learn yet.

But this raises question, Would the guys who shave their legs be called Bi-cyclists?
Ha funny! To each their own, and I am glad 'my' own shaves his legs!

I agree 100% ! ! ! I wouldn't like it if "My" girl had hairy legs either.

quit shaving about a month ago...I need to do it again. As I have gotten older I have bare patches where years of wearing pants have rubbed the hair off. It looks better all gone instead of splotchy.

Non-shaver here. Except for my armpits when going strapless.

Bet that's a good look for you. I've read you race professionally right? What are your feeling on the shaving?

I think it's a French thing. Enough said.

Seriously? I do not think the difference between a shaved leg and an unshaved leg can be measured in a wind tunnel. As to a shaved leg being easier to clean should you get road rash? Don't see how this makes any difference. You will not get infections from your own hair. It's sterile to begin with. Worrying that hair takes dirt into a wound is foolish in light of the fact dragging that same leg along the dirty ground at 25 mph is already pretty filthy. The only other reason for shaving I've heard is ease of massage after riding. Again, this is a French thing.

I hate the French. No shave on these legs.

Nope not a French thing. It's a preference thing. Here the cycling team shaves their legs, none of them are French.
