Stems/ handlebars

I think A shorter stem with maybe a little raise to it would make my bike fit me a tad better.. Ive been looking and reading I believe I need one with a 26mm clamp/ thats the size of my bars.. Does this sound right?

Yes, bar diameter has to match stem clamp diameter.

Check the diameter most road bikes today have 31.8 bars clamps. One quick way of checking is visual. If the area that is clamped on your bar is larger in diameter than the bar itself it is 31.8.

A lot of bikes still use the 26.0, which is fine with me. It looks good on road bikes.

I use 31.8 but that is just habit from my mountain bikes. The 26 just looks right on the older bikes

I have a 26er on my hybrid conversion. I had to use a shim until I find a stem or stem conversion I like
