Getting together for a metric or full century sounds great and I would love to participate in one with everyone on the forum. Unfortunately, spring is when all the charity rides start around here and my cycling team does pretty much all of them. It's pretty hard to say no to the event coordinators when the rides are mostly to help cure diseases and we are current (and ex) paramedics on a fire department cycling team. I'll keep checking this thread and if it doesn't conflict with any of these rides, I may just make the drive and participate.

Also it is not an expensive ride and no fund raising you just pay the entry fee

Have you rode it before? Does it cost much? I see the jersey's are $75.00. Also I'm not afraid of riding a MTB 30 miles. I also might grab my dads road bike from the 70's sometime. However I found out that it had been placed in a barn in the country in the past year or so. Along with my first bike that I learned to ride on.
