Since i got my Raleigh Revenio2.0, my gf has bike envy. She went to the LBS today to check out some roadbikes for herself. They had a 2011 Giant Avail 1 on sale there for $1000, which includes fitting and lifetime adjustments. She loved the way it rode and loves the way it looks too.

The LBS said she can even trade-in her 2012 Giant Escape 1 hybrid, which we bought in Sept for $475 and they will give her $200 towards the Avail 1.

What should we do? She doesn't want to have 2 bikes. And her reason for wanting a roadbike is to keep up with me.

I kept my hybrid when I moved up to a road bike thinking that sometimes I'd still ride it. Hasn't happened yet. I enjoy the road bike so much I can't see myself going back.

Their website says it's a $1400 bike. So I'd say it's a pretty good deal! If you want to keep the hybrid it might be a bit more of a question but $600 off is a steal (in my opinion )
