Titanium has a high melting point, which is usually a sign of excellent temperature stability, but its strength falls off rapidly at temps above 800F, which is one of the reasons why it's hard to machine. Besides, it work hardens anyways. It'd be the last material i'd ever want for brake components. Now if you're talking ceramic, i'd be interested in that.

It turns out that while it sheds heat fast, it's also sandpaper to the brake pads.
