I have 2007 Hayes Nines and the pads are a little worn down, but I want to get their full life out of them but I cant one-finger brake anymore because the lever comes in too far. How can I adjust the brakes so that when the brakes grab, the lever isn't being pulled all the way into my fingers?

Theres a very small allen bolt where the lever attatches to the housing. You can see it looking down the handle bars end to end. Adjust that to your liking.

x2 on the adjuster screw behind the lever. If that doesn't solve the problem, have them bled and the shop can set the limit then. There isn't enough thickness in the break pads to make a noticable difference in how much you can pull the levers.

yeah, hydraulic are hard to work on if you dont have to much expertise, a shop or good bike freind would work best
