In the market for a new fork for my kona coiler. Somewhere between 140-160mm of travel. What would you get and why?

the new pike U turn. Its an adjustable and real beefy. I think it maxes at a 145 though so this may be small, whats the stock size on your bike? I dont wanna overreccomend something and have you blow a head tube

150mm is stock, can do 160 easy but no bigger as i do climb a little.

i know the coiler isnt a double crown but I think it would be nice to put a boxxer on...203 mm of travel may max it out a bit and impede your climbing but could be worth a shot? Whats wrong with your stock one?

Way too big to keep my bike an all around bike. My stock marzzochi drop off is ruined thanks to fed ex. I shipped my bike to UT from MD to ride there and they scratched up the stanchion tubes really bad and now the burs tear the seal when it travels and it leaks oil. I like the fox shox. Anyone have experience with the 2010 36 Float r? Does it have a lock out?

what about another Marz. And i dont think it has a lock out. I know my roommates crappy Manitou has a lock out but with a coiler, your back end is gonna bob like hell even with the front locked out. Do you really want a lock out? I dont know the kinda riding you like more so im not sounding arrogant i hope, im just wondering. If anything, you get an adjustable ride and you can shorten your geometry

If money were no object, I'd get a Fox 36 Talas RC2. It's light (under 5 lbs) and has a 20mm through axle, which IMO is an absolute must for a fork over 140mm. The Talas is fully adjustable for rebound, compression, travel (100, 130, & 160mm) and has a lock out. Mtbr gave it a 4.9 out of 5.0.

On a budget, I'd get a Marzocchi 55. There are several different flavors available. I have an 08 55R on my Rocky. It's a pretty basic 160mm fork with only a rebound adjustment. Basic, but bullet proof.

Yea i'd like to have a lockout but its not a definite. The rear has pro pedal so not too much bob. I wouldnt be against another marzocchi, I just like the adjustments on the fox's.
