Saddle?

I am looking for a relativly low profile comfortable seat. My current MTB has a seat that may aswell be a rock.

What do you guys suggest?

Terry fly, costs a bit, but has been medically proven to improve blood flow to those vital parts down below, and is comfortable as well. I've had the same one for over 10 years.

Interesting, would you happen to have a link to said product?

I couldn't access the company web site but here are some reviews. I can't recall if I saw the medical testing in a sports medicine jounral or Outside/Men's Journal

A saddle is a very personal thing. One that fits my posterior and feels comfy to me may not fit you at all. Fit is the most important consideration when purchasing a saddle. Some manufactures like Specialized, have a fitting system to help select the proper saddle. You want a saddle that supports your sit bones. A saddle that's too narrow is going to feel like the "rock" that you described--Too wide and it's going to rub and chaff.

If you feel under your arse while sitting down, your two sit bones are easily found. Measure the distance between them and select a saddle that is going to be just wide enough to support them.

Personally, I like the WTB Rocket V. That saddle fits me perfectly.

Try as many as you can before you by one! There are many bike shops that will let you try out saddles w/o committing to by that specific one. If you try out their saddles at least be nice and buy one from them too. Another thing to heavily consider is what type of shorts are you wearing. Do you wear padded cycling shorts? I could use a brick as a seat with the right shorts on so keep that in mind too.
